Tasting Notes

Appearance: Bright, clear ruby to crimson red, displaying the youthful luminosity and elegance characteristic of fine Chambolle-Musigny Pinot Noir.

Aroma: Refined and expressive, with red berries, red cherry and raspberry complemented by orange zest, rose petals and delicate spice. Mineral nuances add definition, while the oak is well integrated and provides subtle depth without overwhelming the fruit.

Palate: Medium to full-bodied, pure and finely textured, with succulent red fruit, lively acidity and supple, melting tannins. The wine combines attractive flesh and concentration with the elegance associated with Chambolle-Musigny. Fine mineral and saline notes bring freshness and precision, while hints of spice and white pepper emerge toward the long, refined finish.

Description

Domaine Robert Groffier Père & Fils Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru "Les Hauts-Doix" 2023 is a highly regarded Premier Cru Pinot Noir from Chambolle-Musigny in Burgundy's Côte de Nuits. Les Hauts-Doix is a small and prized Premier Cru climat situated close to the celebrated Les Amoureuses, placing it among the particularly well-positioned vineyard sites of the appellation.

Produced from 100% Pinot Noir, the 2023 Les Hauts-Doix combines the perfume and finesse associated with Chambolle-Musigny with the concentration and textural depth characteristic of Domaine Robert Groffier. For the 2023 vintage, the wine was matured with approximately one-third new oak, contributing structure and complexity while allowing the purity of the fruit and mineral character of the vineyard to remain prominent.
