Tasting Notes
Allegrini Corte Giara Pinot Grigio 2023 is a light and aromatic white wine, perfect for sharing at a dinner with friends. On the nose, it is distinguished by its intense notes of pear and apple, complemented by a subtle hint of white flowers. Its barrel aging imparts a pleasing complexity, with a fresh and balanced finish.
A single-variety Pinot Grigio produced near Lake Garda, in the Italian region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, in vineyards located 200-250 metres above sea level. These vines have an average age of 25 years old and are planted on low density moraine soils. The grapes are harvested once they reach optimum ripeness and in the winery the whole bunches undergo a gentle pressing. The resulting must then ferments in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. It is left to refine here on the lees for 4 months and the wine undergoes partial malolactic fermentation. Finally, it rests for another 2 months in the bottle before being sold.
