Description
Produced in the prestigious Pomerol appellation on Bordeaux's Right Bank, Château La Commanderie de Mazeyres is a Merlot-dominant estate renowned for producing elegant, approachable wines that faithfully express the region's gravel and clay terroir. The exceptional 2003 vintage, shaped by one of Bordeaux's warmest growing seasons, delivered wines of remarkable concentration, ripe fruit and generous structure.
Now beautifully mature, the wine displays layers of black cherry, plum, cedar, tobacco, truffle and forest-floor complexity. Its refined tannins, balanced acidity and silky mouthfeel create a harmonious, food-friendly wine with excellent depth and a lingering finish. This mature Pomerol is drinking superbly today while still offering the elegance and character expected from one of Bordeaux's most celebrated appellations.
