"A juicy, fruity red with blackberry, black-olive, bark and dark-chocolate character. It’s full-bodied with round, velvety tannins. Flavorful finish. A blend of corvina, syrah, oseleta and cabernet sauvignon. Drink or hold.”

"Aromas of blue flower, dark spice and camphor form the nose. Full-bodied and enveloping, the dense palate features ripe black cherry, blackberry, licorice and mocha alongside firm, fine-grained tannins. Drink through 2028."*

"The Allegrini 2020 La Grola is a blend of 70% Corvina, 15% Oseleta, 10% Syrah and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine shows rich fruit concentration with blackberry, cassis and dried cherry. The mouthfeel is rich and textured, and the wine does a good job of hiding its 14% alcohol. Some 65,000 bottles were made."
Food Pairing
To pair La Grola's robust structure and vibrant acidity make it exceptionally food-friendly:
- Grilled & Roasted Meats: Classic pairings with grilled steak, lamb chops, roast beef, or herb-roasted pork.
- Italian Classics: Pairs beautifully with rich pasta dishes like Bolognese or mushroom risotto, as well as Osso Buco.
- Hard Cheeses: Excellent with aged Pecorino, Parmigiano-Reggiano, or Monte Veronese.
